Because it's fine, it's ok

Spring is finally here and although my usual pessimistic mood is unyielding I can't help but feel a little more optimistic with the aspect of spring looming around the corner. It feels amazing to be able to go outside without having to turn into a snow man. The feeling of the sun on the skin, green patches visible underneat the lingering snow, is all reasons enough to go outside and just enjoy everything that was deprived by winter.

I try, as often as I can, to appreciate this. When winter comes I always miss summer but when the spring arrives I have a tendency to take it for granted and spring and summer is much too short, at least were I live.

Therefor, each and every morning, I wake up much too early and have a nice breakfast by the window. No books, no computer, no anything. I have found that having a nice start to the day has a tendency to keep a general good feeling throughout the day - very worth having to wake up an hour early!

your going into spring, and i'm going into autumn, because i live in the southern hemisphere. im quite excited for the winter nights sitting by the fire, and crisp mornings. but i do have a feeling i will miss the warm summer days as they disappear. x

that is a great ritual :) i would do it too, but i get up for work too early (5.30), sun has barely started to rise, so nothing to see at that point :) so i always hope my weekends will be better. but today, everything is gray and cold, rain dripping and ruining my first totaly awesome completely spring-time sunny saturday :( next time i hope...

You are right dear,
especially in the countries where spring and summer doesn't last that long, we should appreciate it even more...
sometimes i can, sometimes my pessimistic me takes over... ;)

your early morning breakfast feels nurturing in many ways. Our spring is so brown with only mosses perking up. I find myself strolling through the woods trying to sense the little flowers that will appear soon, for they are slowly waking to their time to shine and glow.

what a lovely idea to wake up early and have breakfast by the window ♥ i was watching a simon cowel interview on the telly + he likes to watch cartoons in the morning so he can start his day well. im a very sleepy bunny, i can never seem to get up in the morning which is ashame because my grandfather tells me its one of the most beautiful parts of the day. lovely pictures. samantha xx
